    Fine Art Editing Meets Childlike Creativity

    Rediscover the magic of imagination while learning techniques to transform your photographs into captivating works of fine art.
    
    In this workshop, we’ll explore creative Photoshop editing, lighting, color, blending, and artistic finishing touches that bring your vision to life. By combining technical skills with childlike wonder, you’ll learn to push creative boundaries, tell meaningful stories, and create images where imagination has no limits.

    Workshop instructor - Shannon Squires

    Shannon Squires-Toews is an award-winning fine art photographer, digital artist, and educator based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She holds the prestigious Master Photographer, Master Artist, and Photographic Craftsman degrees from Professional Photographers of America (PPA), along with her Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation.

    Her work has earned numerous national and international accolades, including the Overall Grand Imaging Award. She has represented Team USA in the World Photographic Cup three times, with five images selected for competition.

    Known for her imaginative storytelling, masterful lighting, and artistic approach to photography, Shannon shares her passion through workshops, national speaking engagements, and college-level instruction. She inspires photographers to push creative boundaries and transform their images into meaningful works of art.

  Start time (pacific time zone):

          6:00 pm PPSV announcements, Q&A, judge introductions
        ~6:15 pm competition starts, ends approximately 9:30 pm

  Deadline for image submissions:  November 16, 2026 5:00 pm

  You will be sent a zoom link in an email once you register & again the day before the competition. It will also be available in the GameDay app from the audio tab on the printcompetition.com website. 

  Fee:  The fee for PPSV, PPWC, and PPSCV members is $10.00 per image. Guest fee is $15.00 per image.

  Note: You will need to register with printcompetition.com and minimally pay for the BASIC membership to ENTER images for competition.
  You can use the website free account to just watch the competition.
  The Print Competition website basic membership is $16 yearly. Premium membership is $20 Quarterly or $75 annually.

  A Night to Celebrate, Connect, and Dance!

  Join your PPSV family on December 9 at the Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis, California, for an evening of holiday cheer, friendship, and dancing!

  Doors open at 5 p.m. for a social hour. Catch up with friends, meet fellow members, and share stories from behind the lens.

  This celebration is BYOB! PPSV will not provide alcohol, but you’re welcome to bring wine, spirits, or your favorite adult beverage. A designated table will be available for your selections. Please enjoy responsibly.

  At 6 p.m., enjoy a traditional holiday feast featuring roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and all the other fixings. And we’re not forgetting the pumpkin pie! Dinner is provided, so bring your appetite and settle in for conversation around the table.

  We’ll introduce our Board of Directors, hear a heartfelt message from our president, and celebrate members’ achievements during our annual awards ceremony.

  Then kick up your heels with our DJ keeps the party moving with open dancing until 10 p.m.
